Does Abraxi Taxi have an app or online booking?
No. Abraxi Taxi does not use an app or online booking system.
Call or text us directly. You communicate with the people providing the transportation rather than waiting for an app to find a driver.
Old-fashioned? Maybe.
It still works.
Is Abraxi Taxi available 24 hours?
Our phones are generally answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but vehicle availability can vary, especially during busy periods, major events and holidays.
If you know you’ll need transportation at a particular time, calling ahead is always a good idea.
How much does an Abraxi Taxi ride cost?
Abraxi Taxi uses zone-based and flat-rate fares for many trips.
Your fare depends primarily on where you’re being picked up and where you’re going.

Does Abraxi Taxi use surge pricing?
No. We don’t raise the price simply because downtown is busy, it’s raining or everybody decided to leave the concert at the same time.
Our pricing is based on established zones and flat rates.
Traffic, however, remains stubbornly outside our control.
Where does Abraxi Taxi provide local service?
Our primary service area is St. Augustine and St. Johns County, including downtown St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, Anastasia Island, Vilano Beach and surrounding communities.

Does Abraxi Taxi provide airport transportation?
Yes. Abraxi Taxi provides regional airport transportation by arrangement.
Airport trips should generally be scheduled in advance, particularly for early-morning departures or longer-distance airports.

Which airports does Abraxi Taxi serve?
Depending on availability and advance arrangements, Abraxi Taxi provides transportation between St. Augustine and regional airports, including Jacksonville International Airport, Daytona Beach International Airport and Orlando International Airport.

Can I schedule a taxi in advance?
Yes. For important trips, we encourage it.
Advance scheduling is particularly useful for airport transportation, work transportation, appointments, weddings, concerts and early-morning pickups.
Advance scheduling helps us plan, although traffic, road closures, special events and other circumstances can affect arrival times.
Does Abraxi Taxi accept credit cards?
Yes. Abraxi Taxi accepts major credit cards and cash.
If you have a question about payment for a particular trip, ask when you call.
Does Abraxi Taxi have vans for large groups?
No. Abraxi Taxi no longer operates passenger vans.
If your group is too large for the vehicle we have available, we may be able to point you toward another local transportation company that handles larger groups.
We’d rather help you find the right ride than pretend we have a vehicle we don’t.
Can Abraxi Taxi help if a rideshare cancels my ride?
If we have a vehicle available, certainly.
Rideshare cancellations are one reason some customers still keep the number of a local taxi company in their phone. Call or text us and we’ll tell you whether we can handle the trip.
We won’t promise a car we don’t have.
Does Abraxi Taxi provide transportation to restaurants, nightlife and concerts?
Yes. Local transportation is the heart of our business.
We serve people traveling to restaurants, bars, concerts, attractions, hotels, beaches, weddings and special events throughout the St. Augustine area.
After years of driving these streets, we’ve also accumulated quite a bit of local knowledge.

Abraxi Taxi was founded in St. Augustine in 2008.
